Pour up.

I have been taking some what of a short break due to some unfortunate events. One being that I had a miscarriage about 6 weeks ago. I was very hesitant about making a blog post about it because honestly, its not something I like to shout from the top of the mountains. I really just wanted to ignore it [like I do most things] until it disappears but I'm also not stupid, and I know that this feeling will never go away.

Scott has been such an amazing life partner to me. I cannot imagine my life with out him. He has been so supportive and loving through this whole process that for the first time in my life I really have no idea how to repay him.

We decided to do a day trip to Key West to get some R&R and just get out of the house. We both started new jobs and we wanted to celebrate.

I flew here once when I was a child, probably about 5-6 years old and I remember walking from the propeller plane to the doors, not much has changed since then.

Obligatory selfie in a bathroom.

Scotts only reason really for wanting to come to Key West was for a drink called a "Michalatta" and Key West's Butterfly Conservatory. We did both. When we walked into the conservatory, my first words were "is this real?" Scott laughed, I think he knew my reaction would be that. There were butterflies everywhere. Fluttering so close sometimes they would even land on you. They also had quails running around and flamingos. It was the most magical place I've ever been to.

The Michalatta Scott got was from a restaurant called Firefly. They serve brunch and if you are in town I highly suggest trying them out. I had a Sake Bloody Mary that was to die for [I had two] and they have a home made biscuit that was big enough for 2 with homemade jam. Its literally the best biscuit I've ever had.

We stopped at the Smokin Tuna for some lunch because both Scott and I wanted an authentic fish sandwich [catch of the day] from Key West even though we weren't that hungry from our brunch.

Then we were back home in time to cuddle with the pets.

I love you.
