Happy Valentines

I can see where a lot of people come from when it comes to Valentines day and hating it. I disagree with any ones point.

Truth is, so what if its a made up holiday? I think people just want to be able to express the way they care for someone and sometimes regular days don't cut it. And sure, everyone should feel loved every single day of their life but sometimes life is not easy. Sometimes we get so caught up in life that we get stuck on a path and forget to take a turn every once in a while.

So what if you're single!? Man if I really didn't want to be alone for Valentines day, I'd just ask a friend. Sometimes they need love too! It's not about showing love for JUST a boyfriend/girlfriend. It's about showing love to the ones you love.

Stop being a hater, you're cramping my style and I'm not cool with that.

I really wasn't that amped up about Valentines Day this year to be honest. Not for any bad reason, it just so happened to fall right in between two really awesome weekends. Weekends that seemed way more fun than planning for Valentines?

Last weekend Scott and I went to the Mall Vault and we stayed over night in a 5 star hotel [Yeah I'll brag about it! it was the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at!] and like kids often do, we stayed up a good portion of the night making each other laugh and feeling super fancy at this hotel. I almost felt like Valentines came a week early to be honest.

Next weekend Scott and I are going to spend the night in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Exploring the dated streets, checking out the cool shops I can only imagine.

So what was I to expect this weekend?

"Get dressed, I'm taking you to your first Valentines destination." Scott says.

I'm intrigued because Scott is terrible at keeping things a secret. Especially when it comes to anything having to do with me. We pull up to "Bad ass coffee" here in Grayton Beach. I had a muffin and Scott got the cinnamon roll with coffee.

Scott also got the sink in the Airstream working perfectly now. We are in the process of remodeling the kitchen. So I also got a new kitchen technically for valentines day. Scott took me out to my favorite pizza place for dinner because pizza is awesome. It was also surprisingly dead which was even better. Then we went out on a typical Duckworth outing.
